Laura Marie Taylor and Ming Lai held vigil on the 29th of July 2012 at Nellis Air Force Base in North Las Vegas, NV.
Born in 1893, Ammon Hennacy lived a life seeking consistency, integrity, and revolutionary values to help wake up the North American conscience. In his early 20s, due to his anti-capitalist agitation, he was imprisoned during the First World War where he learned about the revolution of the heart in solitary confinement. Having gained this wisdom and ability to love his enemy, Ammon began to travel the U.S. and Canada, teaching and propagandizing for nonviolence and love. He worked tirelessly as a proponent of pacifism, anarchism, and the Sermon on the Mount. As a true personalist, Hennacy took direct action, picketed, fasted, and spoke to countless people wherever and whenever he could. Ammon joined the Catholic Worker Movement when he discovered that the Worker had similar values to his. He practiced what he preached, and through his wit, charm, courage, love, and wisdom, created friends out of enemies. See more info about Ammon Hennacy in the Anarchist Encyclopedia |
